Meet Finch!

Look at that little hint of milk mustache! How handsome is this guy?!

This dapper young man has never met a stranger. As soon as he sees you, he’s ready to talk your ear off and rub all over your ankles. He even does a jump-rub move to press his whole body up against your legs, he’s just that excited to see you! It doesn’t matter if this is your first meeting or you’ve known one another for ages, Finch is happy to see you.

Playing is a favorite of Finches and he is incredibly athletic. Wand toys are great and so are small toys that will fly across the room when he bats at them. He can jump so high when he’s going after a wand toy! He’ll work himself to panting, that’s how much he loves to play! He would also love to wrestle with another cat, sometimes he tries that with the people in his life but we’re working on teaching him that type of play is only for other cats, even though he’s gentle about it. For this reason, Finch needs a home with another young, active cat so that they can play together and he can keep learning what is appropriate play.

Finch is also a chatterbox! This guy gives the best greetings and he won’t hesitate to tell you all about his day and everything that happened since he saw you last. He can carry a great conversation and has a great purr too and starts that up once he’s said all he needs to.

Finch is so brave and he started a little bit of harness training before he came to us! He is so outgoing, and this could be a great activity for his new family to pursue with him.

Finch is still very new to the rescue but we are hoping to find his perfect match quickly! Please note that Finch MUST be adopted to a home with another active cat. He is incredibly playful and energetic and needs a wrestling buddy to help use up some of that energy in an appropriate manner.

How they came to the rescue

Finch was found by a good samaritan. They couldn’t keep him but got his vetting started and found someone that could hold on to him while they looked for a new home for him. When they didn’t have any luck, they realized a rescue would have a better reach and Finch joined us!
